Founded in Community, Reaching Further
Serving the Community for 45 Years
The association originally brought together local community leaders committed to supporting Logan's growing and increasingly diverse communities. Through this work, Helping Hands played an important role in the establishment of what later became Access Community Services - one of Queensland's leading multicultural and settlement organisations.
This legacy reflects a long-standing commitment to community inclusion, social cohesion, volunteering, practical community support and strengthening opportunities for people from all backgrounds.
Today, Logan's Helping Hands Inc. is being reinvigorated by an experienced management committee comprising respected leaders from the community, multicultural, health, governance and human services sectors. Collectively, the committee brings decades of experience in community development, place-based planning, systems leadership, trauma-informed practice, governance, multicultural engagement and collaborative partnerships.
